John Alltoon

Today I'm really enjoying a movie via Netflix streaming called "The Cool School" about the art scene around the Ferus gallery in the 50s in Los Angeles - and surprised that I've never heard of John Altoon before.

He is absolutely hunky sex-on-legs with an impish grin in the clips in this documentary. Sadly, he died at age 45 in 1969. So I looked up his artworks and just found them intriguing and energetic and inspiring.

So thought I'd start a new category on this blog for "artists I love."
